| Jupiter’s Lebanese Dabke Dance Group |
Jupiter’s is ALYA’s dabke group. The group’s first ever practice session took place on August 29, 2005. Since then Jupiter’s has come a very long way, performing on 10 separate occasions as listed below:
1. Melbourne University – 6/10/05
2. La Trobe University – 13/10/05
3. ALYA Australian Lebanese Festival (Federation Square) – 26/11/05
4. United Nations Human Rights Day Festival – 10/12/05

10. Pako Multicultural Festival, Geelong – 24/02/07
At all performances, the group has completely donated its time and must be commended on its sole aim of promoting Lebanese folklore. Through its performances at festivals and university campuses, Jupiter’s is playing a leading role in showcasing Lebanese folklore, as the overwhelming majority of most audiences have not been Lebanese. Crowds have usually been in their hundreds, including an audience that topped 1400 at the 2005 ALYA Australian Lebanese Festival. Songs that the group has performed include:
1. Dabket Lubnan – Fairouz & Nasri Shamseddine
2. Howwara
3. Saharne – Najwa Karam
4. Ouli La Bouki - Fares Karam
5. Tannoura – Fares Karam
6. Man Sharradli Lghazala – Techno Versin
7. Ya Ghzayyel – Techno Version
